In the middle of town stands two Cedar Trees that have grown twisted with each other until it seemed as if they were one...

In the town of Twisted Cedars, there are many secrets.  In the 1970s, the town librarian was found hanging in the basement of the town library. One town sweetheart ran off suffering from postnatal depression and has not been seen or heard of again.

Now Dougal Lachlan's sister Jamie is about to marry Kyle and he has to try and stop her, but he has another reason for renting the Cabin that belonged to the dead librarian.  He is a true-crime writer and has received e-mails providing enough information to set him on the trail of the librarian killer.

Through his search for the truth, he will find buried bodies, siblings he never knew about and the one thing he did not bargain on, love.  As he starts to write his book which promises to be his best yet, he never imagined how personal the story will become and how many secrets he will uncover.

This is a good story that keeps your attention and suspense throughout all three books.  You need to read all three books as they are not standalone stories.  There are enough new plot twists and characters that will keep you from realizing how many pages you have read.

A good book and on the clean side.

If you know the words 'Please sir may I have some more, you also know who said it and which book.  Oliver Twist, to some, is the best known of Charles Dickens' books.  Yes, A Tale of two cities and Great Expectations are also well known but did not honour being made into a Disney Animated Film or a musical. As with many books, the title character is not always the one that people end up liking.  In the case of Oliver Twist , the Artful Dodger is the character that steals the show and how appropriate for Terry Pratchett to take this lovable character and give him the Pratchett makeover. Those of us who have read the Discworld novels and novels such as Nation  know that anything is possible once Pratchett has taken a character into his world.  For some, it might be disappointing to realize that there was nothing magical in Dodger .  That is to say nothing magical as in the Discworld novels.
