Vampires, Necromancers, Hunters, and Psychopathic cults all come together to make a great YA Fantasy in Kiss me deadly by Jessie Thomas. Sera is contacted by Nate to help him find his son. Meanwhile, she has to try and solve the murder of her previous client and becomes mixed up in an ominously overfriendly cupcake cult. All of this while she has to rebuild her relationship with her sister, whose best friend is a ghost from the Victorian era.

This was a pleasure to read; the plot was interesting and the characters believable. The action is non-stop and intense, while the themes of prejudice, friendship, and family are woven into this action-packed fantasy. Readers who like Jim Butcher might find these enjoyable.
