Despite the warning she received the previous winter.   Her relationship with Angel takes an unexpected turn when his father shows up as a sub at Ruby’s school.   Her world is thrown into chaos when she comes face to face with more shifters.   Some of them a

" Emotion shifts through his irises they're no longer blocked.  Suddenly I can see into the oceanic depths of them. I could get lost there if I'm not careful.  I would drown and it would not be pleasant.  At least I don't think it would be.  I wouldn't want it to be.  What if it was?" click on the image to go to amazon I n a world where Vampires share their world, running businesses that prey on the weaknesses of humans.  Evangeline or Eva is one of the teenagers who are acutely aware of the effect that the Vampires have had on their society. However, I was pleasantly surprised.  I could feel Ruby's sense of freedom and peace as she hiked in the area surrounding her new home.  A home her mother had bought before...and now she and her aunt, who was more like a mother to her, had come to make a new life for themselves. As with any move to a new place, La Luna has a new school to attend and try and avoid attention, but Angel, the sheriff's young deputy, has his eye on her.  She runs into a boy, Leo, on her hike to a Pueblo ruin, who is evasive with information and intriguing and forward.  As she is new, she does not know all the myths and legends, and when a mysterious mountain lion and a reclusive young man with a scarred face crosses her path, her life begins to be

The Fractured Empire -Robin D Mahle

I have been looking for something that can lift my spirits and keep me motivated and invested in the story. The fractured Empire was sent to me in exchange for an hone st review. I can not be more honest. It was a great read, so much so that I had to get the next instalment, The Tempest sea. The characters are well rounded with interesting and explanatory backstories that you come to know through chapters that take you back to memories of the specific characters. Clark and Addie are thrown together due to circumstances neither of them saw coming. Their tenuous relationship highlights the importance of getting to know someone and that keeping secrets never helps a relationship. Nonetheless, they

The World Encyclopedia of Serial Killers

Image
I have been a great fan of True Crime for a while now. The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers is a worthwhile and amazing read because it sorts the known serial killers, even from way back in history. The encyclopedia comes in instalments, which indicates how many serial killers there have been and which have been documented.  There are four volumes that make up the Encyclopedia. This is an awesome read for any fan of true crime, and the detail that the author managed to accumulate is mind-blowing. A recommended read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Enigma of Ted Bundy by Kevin Sullivan

This is a good read and it contains an immense amount of information that will hold your attention until the book is finished.  There are however small instances where some knowledge about certain facts in the investigation is needed. Maybe the author could add some of this information in a foreword. For example: In the police report it is mentioned that there is a tear in his vehicle's seat, the relevance and importance of this fact is uncertain if you are a first time reader
