Lichgates by S.M Boyce

My goal? Write unforgettable, haunting stories that steal you away from the world and reveal to you your own hidden power and greatness. S.M. Boyce

Meet Kara, who just wanted a hike to clear her mind.  Instead, she finds herself in a whole new world.  She stumbled on the legacy of the first Vagabond of Ourea, and now he is inside her mind!  She inherits a quest to unite Ourea, but the natives are not really inclined to listen to a Vagabond and then one from another world to boot.
Braeden is a soldier who volunteers to guard her on her quest, but he has many secrets he isn't eager to share with her. Together they visit all the role players and have to navigate through betrayal and manipulation as well as the third person in Kara's head.
Ourea is a world full of magic and wonder where possibilities are endless and death almost certain.

This is a good clean Fantasy adventure and can be read by readers of all ages.  This will be a fun read for teens and young adults, and you won't want to put it down.  I very seldom find a book that I read and then immediately look for the sequel, but when I finished Lichgates, I just had to read the rest.  Boyce's imagination and ability to describe paints a clear picture and keep you on the edge of your seat.  Do read and enjoy this series.
"Boyce specializes in action-packed stories that weave in fantasy, mystery, and heroines with a knack for mischief. All romantic leads are based loosely on her husband, who proves that soulmates are real.
She has a deep love for ghosts, magic, and spooky things. If you've already finished her books, check out her blog or Twitter feed for a dash of adventure."
